We love getting to know the incredible people who choose to call their Tune M1 home on the road. This month, we’re excited to feature Lisa Flood — a mother, small business owner, and a true adventure-seeker from the Portland, Oregon area.

Lisa’s story starts on horseback. With her 4 horse gooseneck trailer, she spent many years exploring state parks, riding trails, and participating in horse shows. The open trails were her happy place and she loved getting out into nature. She also gave her resources to heal neglected and abused horses which then went on to find forever homes

But as anyone who has spent time in the saddle knows, it is not without risks. After facing quite a few falls and resulting injuries, Lisa decided it was time to change her adventure style. That’s when she discovered overlanding, which offered Lisa the perfect blend of adventure and safety. It gave her the freedom to explore the backcountry, just like she did on horseback, but in a way that felt less risky and more accessible.

Lisa’s longest journey to date has been a 9-day expedition along the Idaho Backcountry Discovery Route — an experience she describes as unforgettable. But it’s not just the big trips that fuel her passion. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a day trip, Lisa and her family love loading up their Tune camper and hitting the road.

When it came time to choose a camper for her Ford F250 Super Duty, Lisa did her homework. She knew she wanted something spacious and lightweight, but she also wanted to support a small business — just like her own. After looking at several options, Lisa found Tune Outdoor.

What stood out to Lisa wasn’t just the quality of our campers, but the connection she felt with our team. As a small business owner herself, Lisa knows the importance of good communication and personalized service, and she found that with us. From the moment she started working with the Tune Team, she felt confident that we would resolve any issues with reliable service. We’re grateful that she trusted us with her business.

Lisa’s story is a reminder that adventure looks different to everyone— the important part is getting out there and getting after it. Whether you’re a seasoned overlander or just starting out, we’re here to help you make the most of every journey.
